On this page

This page is the plain list of what Crossbox does not do yet, answers to common questions, and what to include if something is wrong. For step-by-step fixes see Troubleshooting.

Known limitations

  • Attaching files is not available from the start screen. It works inside a chat.
  • Attachments are text formats only: plain text, Markdown, CSV, JSON and Jupyter notebooks (.ipynb), up to 8 MB per file and 5 files per message.
  • Cloud workspace is not set up yet.
  • Your computer works only when a computer is connected and online.
  • Web search is not active unless your deployment turns it on. When it is off, the @ menu says so.
  • Pricing has not been announced and nothing can be bought.
  • Which models you can choose depends on your deployment; it may offer only one.

Common questions

What is a Personal chat?
A chat that is not in a project. A project keeps its own chats and files together.
Can I change where a chat runs after it has started?
No. A chat’s place is chosen when it starts; start a new chat to change it. See Where it runs.
Does the intensity change the model?
No. Intensity is the budget for one reply; the model is chosen separately. See Choosing a model and intensity.
How much does it cost?
Pricing has not been announced. No plans, prices or usage limits are published, and there is no checkout. See Pricing.
Joining the waitlist: what does it ask, and what happens next?
Join waitlist asks for your email address, which is required, and a name and what you would use Crossbox for, which are optional. Joining again with the same email keeps your first entry and shows the same confirmation. Joining does not create an account and does not sign you up for newsletters. There is no published way to have an entry removed yet; Privacy says what is stored and what is still undecided.
How is my data handled?
Trust describes how data is handled.

Report a problem

Tell whoever runs your Crossbox deployment (your organization or administrator). A general enquiries channel is not published yet, so there is no address or form to use; Contact shows where a channel will appear once one is published. Whoever you tell will need:

  • What you did, step by step, and what you expected to happen.
  • What happened instead, and the exact message you saw, if there was one.
  • The time it happened, in your own time zone.
  • Which chat it happened in: give its title, not its contents, if the chat is private. Say whether it was a Personal chat or in a project.
  • The model and intensity you had selected.
